Brand Development Index (BDI) Notes:
A brand development Index ( BDI) identifies the performance of a brand in a market. In comparison with other markets brand performance, this strategy helps to indicate the overall brand progress in the market with respect to its development index. It depends on the sales of brand's percentage in the specific area in context of the percentage of the country's population of that area. Take an example, if brand sales is 10 percent in the area, which caters 20 percent population of the country. Then, the BDI of the area would be 50 ( 10 x 100 / 20).
