Acceptance Sampling Notes:
Quality control has become an important part within an organization. The products produced by an organization must be monitored and checked to see whether they meet the defined specification limits. Statistical process control is used to monitor the quality. A statistical process which involves checking the quality of a specific number of products out of the whole batch is called acceptance sampling. Acceptance sampling considers a portion of the produced lot, checks the quality of the products within that portion, and decides on the basis of that portion if the whole lot should be accepted or rejected. Different sampling plans can be used while performing acceptance sampling. These are single sampling, double sampling, and multiple sampling.
