Project Schedule Network Diagram Notes:
A project's activities must be defined before starting the project. Also, the relationship between the activities must be established. A graphical representation of the activities associated with the project and their sequence is called project schedule network diagram. A project schedule network diagram can include both, the overall project with details, and the summary of activities. When the summary of activities are used in the project network diagram, the required information/details of the established sequence must also be given. While defining sequence, some activities lead to multiple activities (successor activities), this point is called path divergence. Sometimes, multiple activities lead to a single activity (more than one predecessor activities), that point in the network diagram is called path convergence. Activity at these two points must be given special attention as they affect or are affected by a number of activities.
