The job of a project manager is very stressful. He or she can face many situations in which stress can adversely affect his or her performance. The deadlines and very limited resource allocation are some examples of these types of situations. Moreover, project managers are responsible for the overall performance of the project which can cause both physical and mental stress. One of them is referred to as burned out. Being burned out is both a physical and a mental condition and is a result of complete exhaustion. A burned out individual cannot feel good by having vacations or rest etc. The most common solution for burn out is the change in job assignment.
