Anhydrobiosis Explanation:

The term anhydrobiosis is most usually used for the desiccation acceptance or tolerance seen in certain invertebrate animals such as rotifers and tardigrades etc. However, other life forms like the majority of plant seeds and many microorganisms such yeast, also show this phenomenon known as the desiccation tolerance. Studies have shown that some anhydrobiotic organisms can survive for decades or sometimes even centuries, in the dry state.
