Conidiophore Notes:
Conidiophores are special spore producing hyphae of fungi. They produce asexual spores called conidia. The conidiophores can be found arranged singly on the hyphae, or they may be present in the form of special asexual fruiting bodies, like cushion-shaped sporodochia, mattresslike acervuli, sheaflike synnemata or flask-shaped pycnidia.
