Adenine Explanation

Adenine is derived from purines and is found in nucleic acids, nucleotides, coenzymes and nucleosides. It is one of the two purine bases that is used to form nucleotides present in the nucleic acids. In the structure of DNA, adenine can bind via hydrogen bonds to the thymine base and helps to stabilize the structure of nucleic acids. However, in RNA, adenine forms hydrogen bonds with uracil.
