Allergic Contact Dermatitis Explanation

Allergic contact dermatitis is a form of an allergic reaction or dermatitis/eczema that is caused by an allergic reaction towards an allergen when it comes in contact with the skin. Haptens combine with proteins present in the skin to produce an allergen which then stimulates the immune response. However, allergens are not harmful for the people who are not allergic to them. This dermatitis is also known as contact allergy.
